The Beautycon Festival that holds every year in 2 major cities in the US is back again this year, and it is already creating a huge buzz in the beauty industry.
The New York leg that held over the weekend is the first one for the year 2018, and it had a lot of influencers in the beauty industry and a huge number of beauty enthusiasts who came out to support the buzzing new cause.
If you don’t understand the term “buzzing new cause above”, it means you aren’t in the loop. The main discourse was centered on diversity and inclusivity in the beauty sector, which brands like Fenty Beauty have helped foster, and thought provoking speeches/interviews like Zendaya’s at the event.
Business Of Fashion offered a pretty good idea of this when they revealed that they intend to bring to the beauty sector; agenda-setting coverage and hope to challenge the beauty industry to think more broadly about its evolution as with great change comes great opportunity.
According to Business Of Fashion “beauty is at the centre of some of the most exciting currents running through the world today: digital disruption, globalisation and the drive for greater inclusivity”, which is all they are about.
Beautycon NYC did shine light on inclusive products in makeup which has been the forefront of the new brands springing up e.g KKW. Innovative new beauty products such as the Beauty So Clean, Lash So Clean, False Eyelash Cleaning Kit and the Almay Make Them Jelly Hi-Lite were also introduced.
The beauty is growing wider by the day. The valid inclusive cause wasn’t the only buzz casing factor as some of the guest offered gorgeous styleand beauty inspo with their outfit, hair and makeup. Check out some of the biggest influencers in attendance below;
