R&B singer and actress Brandy Norwood strikes a come hither pose, all cheekbones and full lips on the latest cover of Uptown Magazine, shot by Shxpir at the Skylark in New York City for her feature, An Icon Rises.
For the cover, the 36 years old, styled by Mario Wilson, reclines on a chair looking chic and sophisticated with subtle makeup and cropped hair and wearing  a pony skin corset by The Blonds, skirt by Cheng, Prada heels, rings by Mike Nekta and Leon Diamond and gold fingernails by Erica Diggs.
She also wears a beaded one piece ZZ Top Corset by The Blonds and crystal embellished shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti and a sheer top by Cheng; with blue pants by Risto in the additional images accompanying the piece in which she talks to Uptown magazine about her time in New York where she has relocated to star as Roxie in Chicago on Broadway. She talks about her daughter and co-parenting, her connection to Whitney Houston and end of her relationship with her ex-fiance and her upcoming projects.
When asked how she sees herself, She quotes “I don’t view myself as a celebrity. It’s all about the intention. It’s not about me. I thought I was before , but now I know that it’s about other people. Who else could it be about?”.
It’s great to see the humble star shining.
