New York based international celebrity stylist and TV host, Marcus Stewart is set to make his first trip to Nigeria and attend Lagos Fashion & Design Week and sounds like he is very much looking forward to the experience.
Stewart who has worked in fashion for over 10 years, has been mentored by fashion godfather, Andre Leon Talley and has worked with Prada, D&G, Vogue, GQ, MrPorter, Katy Perry, Olivia Wilde, Harpers Bazaar, Naomi Watts, to mention a few, and boasts of styling credits in GQ, Ebony and Vanity Fair Italia.
About his trip, Marcus says, “On the invitation of my good friend, Mr Idowu, I’m very excited about visiting Nigeria in the coming weeks. I’ve heard so much about the talent in the country and I am really looking forward to seeing it for myself.”
A native of New Orleans, Stewart, who began working in fashion while living in LA at the age of 17, says he is looking forward to ”attending Lagos Fashion Week and popping by the Okunoren Twins Store…” while in Lagos.
It will be interesting to see what he makes of Nigerian style!
