We all know the struggle with finding a nice scenting perfume that won’t tear your pockets, not only that, it could be tricky and over whelming when you just don’t want to pick the first perfume you think smells good. Whether fruity, sensual or just plain strong there are perfumes for everyone that suit your taste and can either help you smell like a bag of money, a walking goddess or just make people sneeze when you walk by.

I myself love a perfume that is subtle but lingers and when people enter a room with me in it, they know someone distinct is present. We have put out a guide on how to test out fragrances when shopping, and share advice to those just diving into the fragrance world as first timers.

The perfume world seems to market only fragrances that only make you feel sexy, but you don’t necessarily want to feel that way all the time. (If that’s your choice anyway )Find something that doesn’t suffocate you or have people feeling they need to go behind every time you walk by.

When you smell a perfume, it somehow takes over, both your personality and even your taste buds, find a perfume that have lighter qualities that makes you feel good without hiding who you are.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when finding your next fragrances.

  • Honestly the best thing you can do is really educate yourself by smelling a lot. Take time to explore a few options (do not be overzealous) sit down and explore. By figuring out what does and doesn’t work for you, you’ll be able to become more familiar with the scents and ingredients you lean towards your preference.
  • Make sure when you spritz the swatch, ensure it does not to touch your nose. people, tend to touch the paper right to their nose to get the scent, by doing this they accidentally get the perfume on their skin. This can affect how you smell other perfumes afterwards leaving you confused as to which perfume has what scent.
  • If you find a scent you love, spray it on your skin ( wrist preferably) and wait about 15 minutes or 20 minutes max. The perfume on your skin will smell how they would smell after eight hours. When perfumes are made some of the added ingredients are lighter, while others are heavy.

The truest test to knowing you have found the right perfume? When You know a fragrance is just right for you is when you put it on your wrist And you feel the strong urge to constantly smell it and when you smell it is just makes you feel good, like, ‘I smell amazing’ That’s definitely a good feeling and an even better sign
