The first time we got a collaboration between talent manager/producer, Mildred Okwo and Nollywood star, Rita Dominic, was on the AMVCA-winning comedy, The Meeting. Serving as their first joint production under The Audrey Silva Company (TASC), The Meeting became an instant audience and critic favorite, with heavy praise directed towards the film’s plot, directing and also Rita Dominic’s transformative turn as the receptionist, Clara. While their second feature together, Surulere, failed to match up to the success of its predecessor, Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo are set to make a return to the cinema with a new story, and a completely different genre.

La Femme Anjola, their newest feature (which we previously spoke about here), is a star-studded crime thriller shot on location in Nigeria and South Africa. It follows the life of a stockbroker played by The Voice/Battleground alumni, Nonso Bassey, whose live gets upended after he gets entangled in the world of crime thanks to his relationship with the mysterious Anjola (Rita Dominic) and her underworld kingpin husband, played by Femi Jacobs.

The gripping thriller tells the tale of love, sex, and betrayal. Set for a 2020 release, the film also stars Joke Silva, Uzor Osimkpa, Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Bassey Ekpeyong.
