Nothing defines classic sneakers more than Nike-owned Converse All Star Chuck Taylors. The reasons for this are not far fetched; they include huge celebrity following, comfort factor and most importantly, affordability.
In 2015, the interior technology of the basketball-inspired sneakers was improved as part of the first update which had not been done in over nine decades, and this year, Nike is stepping it up a notch with another update is set to be released on June 16.
Named Converse All Star Modern, this new version will come in both low and high cuts, and will feature circular knit uppers and innovative features including Nike Hyperfuse among others which, all together, are aimed at delivering clean, stylish lines and lightweight comfort. It doesn’t end there, this is just the first in a series of updates to come for Converse’s lineup of classic sneakers.
In addition, Nike will also be releasing a limited edition Converse All Star Modern HTM, which is a sleek iteration with its premium leather upper and embossed All Star logo. It will be available in black and white in the high-top silhouette and is expected to be released today on Nike Lab.
