Snapping Out of the Heartbreak Zone

You’re not over him, and it’s easy to tell. You’ve been sitting in the corner each evening, lost in thought, probably picturing how life would have been if you were still together. Constantly checking his social media pages and wondering what you might have missed. You can deny it all you want, but you’re still hung up on him. But, really, it’s normal. There probably was a time; you saw a picture-perfect future with him in it. Well, it is safe to say that the dream was short-lived.

It’s actually one of the hardest part of dating. One minute you’re in a relationship and in the twinkle of an eye, you’re being whisked back into the single girls club.  Moving past broken relationships is most times a struggle. It’s always a pain-staking stage as it seems that the constant thought of them will never seem to fade. I’ve been there and I can totally relate to what you might be going through.

The first baby step to freedom is acceptance; accepting that it didn’t work out. You need to be able to understand that he is no longer a part of your life. Living in the constant denial phase will only make it harder for you to get past it.

Envision the future without him in it. Nothing works better than a mental picture.  It’s more like playing a mind trick. Pull out the reality landscapes, slap on your dreams but without him in it.

Thrash out the ‘reminders’. We all have one thing that acts as a reminder for past relationships. Probably an old tee shirt that you wear whenever the cold weather pulls through. Girl! It’s time to thrash it out.

Say no to contact. At least until you have probably moved on. Except you’re that friendly ex, (in which most times we keep deceiving ourselves) Even if you opt for contact, always keep it civil and the kill the thoughts of wanting more.

Last but not the least; you have to learn to do things yourself. Whip up a bucket list, be spontaneous and don’t forget to live life.

  1. Have you ever heard of second life (sl for short). It is basically a video game where you can do anything you want. SL is literally my second life (pun intended lol). If you would like to see more you can see these second life websites and blogs

  2. Howdy! That is form of off subject but I would like some aid from an established blog site. Could it be tricky to create your own private blog? I’m not extremely techincal but I am able to figure things out really swift. I’m contemplating creating my very own but I’m undecided where to begin. Do you’ve got any strategies or strategies?
