SV Army’s New Year Style Resolutions

Happy New Year guys!

The Year 2018 fleeted away so fast, we’re still trying to keep up, but 2019 is already upon us and as they say time waits for no one.

As is the norm, we would be sharing our New Year Style Resolutions in hopes it inspires yours or at the very least helps make it better.

Derin Odugbesan

Happy New Year Everyone, I Pray this new year is amazing to all of us and May God’s Blessings always be ours. It’s another new year, meaning new style resolutions, weirdly I don’t have that many. I want to explore new hair styles, used to hate braids but I’ve found myself braiding my hair thrice in the second half of the year so obviously I’m loving it.
Not a fan of the color black so I definitely want to explore that and see maybe that can change.. Of course wear more stunning outfits this year and look fabulous every single day and let’s not forget to also feel FABULOUS…
Cheers to the New Year.. Xx

2019 is upon us people, and for me it’s all about MONEY (Cardi B’s voice). They say money can’t buy happiness but it can surely makes some things a little easier. So I hope to work on more challenging and fulfilling projects and increase my bank accounts. For resolutions, 1. Be more unapologetic

2. Be less afraid of judgment, rejection, and failure

3. Be more aggressive

4. Be more kickass. 2018 was life changing, 2019 is onto bigger, better things.

Thank you for reading my workspiration posts on here. I feel like I left my comfort zone behind this year 2018 and went for daring colors and all that good stuff. 2019, let’s do more. My posts would add more value to you more than it did previously. I’ll include more accessories to the styling. I’m basically going to serve you guys Fierce looks! So help me God!

Much Love

Be more bold with my style choices, wear even more print, venture into neon and continue to take fashion risks.

Conrad Johnson

To be honest, 2018 was my worst year fashion-wise. I mean yes, I probably looked good for the most part, but I never really “served” looks.

This is however changing in this year, as I intend to be all about the fashion and curating looks that would keep my feet on everyone’s neck. I’m going to take more fashion risks (will this be the year Conrad gets piercings and a tattoo? Who knows?), also going to take it back to the unapologetic Conrad circa 2013, who wore dungarees way before y’all thought the 90s were cool again.

I also intend to invest my time and money (of course), in a healthy workout and skincare routine, but most importantly, I intend to focus on building Conrad, mentally. Most times it’s not just about the clothes and perfect pores, it’s simply about your mental state and knowing deep down you’re the best thing since sliced bread.

Xoxo Conrad J.

I choose to live my life fashionably in colors.
I choose to go bold and not conform for the conventional.
I choose to be stylishly different.
It’s a New Year, I chose to be ‘Atai’ in every fashion piece throughout 2019.

Last year was a pot-filled experience for me and I have decided that this year I’ll be going all out. I plan on switching up my personal style. Getting more designer pieces into my wardrobe, I mean nobody loves a replica over an original. I will definitely invest more in quality over quantity. Also, I plan on maximizing my outfits to the fullest because there’s no point in living life through boring pieces. I will openly embrace trends that are out of my comfort zone without blinking a eyelid and I will be having more fun with fashion this year that ever before. Lastly, I will be investing into a skincare routine and achieving that body goal I have always wanted( if you know what I mean), my glow will be blinding a lot of you, be prepared. I hope y’all are ready for me?

Ayo Lawal

My style resolution would be to take more risks and express my self to the fullest when it comes to my personal style. I also definitely need to add a couple more shorts to my wardrobe.

1. Eat healthy
2. Start a workout routine
3. Build a closer relationship with God
4. Try to be more friendly and socialize more

Vanessa Anetoh

I will definitely be more adventurous and chic with my style this coming new year, a little bit subtle but also edgy. I’ll most definitely have a signature look.

Cheers to 2019 guys!!!

The year 2018 was a year where I failed at nearly all of my style resolutions. It wasn’t that I didn’t try to make any of them happen, I mean, I tried a new hairstyle, was more aware of my body and went to the gym four weeks in a row. I did most of what I planned a few times, but completely lacked consistency, so every effort was so lacklustre it was almost like it didn’t happen. For 2019, I’m hoping to be consistent and less lazy at style.

Happy New Year, more especially to your MCMs. The only reason they’ve been taking it, is because I’ve been giving them. This year I want to play with a lot of plaid, mixed prints for suits, silk shirts, a lot of casual African inspired hats (shoutout to DJ Spinall).
