TAJÉ’S TIPS – 6 BEST POST PREGNANCY FOODS

Hey Fitfam! I know some of us went in over the Sallah weekend. But I’m sure you’re back on track with your green juice in hand. *wink*

So a lot of my friends have recently given birth or are due in the next month or two, and have been asking me what they should eat!

Off I went to do my research and have come up with a list of 6 of the best foods to have once you pop out that bundle of joy.

Oranges

Adds a lot of Vitamin C to your diet which keeps you from colds & congestion. This is amazing for breastfeeding moms as oranges and other citrus fruits are excellent for milk production.

Almonds

Almonds keeps you full and are a great snack. They can also gives you relief from constipation; respiratory disorders, cough, anaemia and diabetes. They are great for your hair and skin post pregnancy and they are easy to take with you anywhere as they fit into anything from your purse to your car.

Brown Rice

Brown Rice grains

Brown (whole grain) rice is filling and much healthier that French fries or regular rice. Healthy whole grain carbs keep your energy high which you need for that new baby and it helps you produce the best quality milk for your baby.

Spinach

Spinach provides a vast amount of  nutrients.  It’s low calorie, has heart healthy antioxidants and is packed with vitamin A which your baby needs. It’s also a non-diary source of dietary calcium.

Blueberries

Water is essential! Flushes your body of unrated toxins daily; keeps you hydrated and helps aid weight loss and gives you clear skin and its a natural remedy for headaches.

So for all my new mommies, add these to your diet and you and your baby will be as healthy as possible!

I promise you’ll love it.
