Today I dedicated to play catch up after rounding up some business meetings. I decided to drop by a few colleagues’ and designers’. I took these pictures while in Nouva Couture in Lekki Phase 1 Lagos Nigeria. As a stylist, you always want to approach clients not overdressed but still stylish, so these two samples came out to play.
I stumbled upon these baggy boy pants from a friend’s store who is also a stylist, Moashy which he pulled from a designer sample sale. These pants say everything about me as a stylist; daring, bold and uber chic. The impeccable tailored pleats, the intended unfinished trims and the cliched safety pins sealed the deal for me.
I say to people that if I can tell who you are from your closet, then you need a wardrobe makeover. These pants on the other hand keep people guessing. I love love love and rate them a 9 out of 10 in my style picks.
I teamed this baggy pants with an Alice and Olivia beaded pearl tie shirt which I got a couple of years back, also from an Alice and Olivia sample sale. Another unusual piece but expected from Alice and Olivia by Stacey Bendet, which is a coveted brand that always stretches fashion boundaries while being feminine and playful.
I sealed up the look with a Chanel Beige Quilted Caviar Jumbo 2.55 Flap bag and a pair of Christian Louboutin So Kate 120mm Tissu beauty Pumps.
