I don’t know about anyone else but I’m the biggest YE fan on earth, and I’ve got to say that i get jacked up on adrenaline whenever i hear of a new YE project, that’s why I’m still upset about the delay of his latest album ‘YANDHI’.
Kanye West was supposed to release his ninth studio album on September 29th, after three SNL performances but unfortunately, it has now been postponed to two months from now, which feels like forever to all his fans. His reasons being that, he needed to go to Africa to finish the album, so now I’m pretty damn excited again! Wondering why? Well, because that’s a hell of inspiration he’s in search of, meaning he’s about to drop a bomb on us all. According to West, “I started incorporating sounds that you never heard before, pushing and having concepts that people don’t talk about. We have concepts talking about body-shaming and women being looked down upon for how many people that they slept with. It’s just a full Ye album and those five albums I dropped earlier were like superhero rehabilitation but now the alien Ye is fully back in mode… We’re going to Africa in two weeks to record. I felt this energy when I was in Chicago. I felt the roots. We have to go to what is known as Africa.” It looks like he won’t be putting out the hotly-anticipated release until he takes the time to bless the rains down in Africa.
The ‘Stronger’ hit-maker touched on several other controversial topics during various series of interviews which included clarifying his statements about the 13th Amendment being abolished. According to him, ”As the 13th Amendment declared that slavery nor involuntary servitude except as punishment for crime shall exist”, West explained: ‘Abolish was the wrong language. ‘I mis-spoke by saying abolish. Amend is the right language. What’s beautiful about our Constitution is we can amend it.’ This is definitely be going to a theme in one or more of his tracks on the album, it doesn’t get anymore deeper.
As for the new “YANDHI” release date, it’s kinda perfect Nov. 23, aka Black Friday, it’s pretty far but it’s definitely going to be worth the wait.
